Due to its bad natural-dependent agricultural conditions, the life of local farmers are very bitter. In order to make a living, most of farmers had to desert the farmland and shift to do roadside business. But once the policy of opening and reform implemented, Yiwu took its chance. At first, the products are mainly from Guangzhou, Ningbo and Wenzhou, only with few products manufactured in Yiwu. However, the manufacturing industry had high profits at that time. The ambitious Yiwu people did not satisfy to the existing situation, and they wanted to create their own enterprises. The advantage of the enterprises in Yiwu is that the bosses were peasants without high education and managing conception. They only knew to change their products until these were popular with customers. Thanks to this conception, many enterprises formed their own brands. It is the enterprise pattern in Yiwu called to be” root economy”.
