Baishui River
Baishui River (baishuihe) leaves on travelers is the limpid water. The source of the river is the melting snow on the nearby mountain, and after undergoing a process of filtration on the nearby rocks, the water pours into the river a gorgeous clear color. Trees grow along either side of the riverbed while a little further away snow-capped peaks stand imposingly against the sky. It is possible to travel upriver either on foot or by horseback from here.

Bita Lake
Bita means a place with a dense oak forest. The Bitahai Lake is a fault lake, which lies in the heart of the nature preserve surrounded by mountains covered with ancient pines, oaks and rhododendrons. The lake surface is 3,539 meters above sea level, and the deepest point is 40 meters. The lake has a surface area of 160 hectares. A small wooded island in the center of the lake is home to many rare species of birds.

Tiger Leaping Gorge
The world famous Tiger-Leaping Gorge is between the Haba Snow Mountain and the Yulong(Jade Dragon) Snow Mountain.Tiger Leaping Gorge extends for 10 miles from the Yulong Xueshan Mountain in Lijiang to the Haba Xueshan Mountain in Zhongdian. It is one the longest, deepest, and narrowest gorges in the world. According to local legend, the gorge acquired its name because, at its narrowest point (90 feet), a tiger once leaped over the swirling waters.
Stone Forest

Stone Forest
The Stone Forest is situated in the Lunan Yu Autonomous County 126 kilometers southeast of Kunming. A typical karst formation, the Stone Forest covers an area of more than three hundred square kilometres. Scientific research has shown that what is now the Stone Forest was 270 million years ago an immense expanse of water with a vast stretch of limestone sediment formed over the years on the seafloor. As a result of the crustal movement, the seabed rose gradually and a large piece of land thus came into being. Exposed to rains and winds, eroded by the elements, the thrtist-up limestone ranges were shaped bv time. About 200 million vears ago numerous stone peaks, pillars, and stalagmites rose abruptly from the ground and towered into the sky, extending now as far as the eye can see, looking like a vast forest of stone, hence the name "the Stone Forest".

Butterfly Spring
The Butterfly Spring is located at the foot of the Yundong Peak, one of the peaks of Cangshan Mountain, in Dali of Yunnan Province. The spring water is as clear as a mirror, with tens of thousands of butterflies gathering here from all around every year, dancing all over the sky. Some of these butterflies are as big as one's palm; others are as small as a copper coin. One after another, strings of butterflies hang down from big silk trees to the surface of water, dazzling to the eye.
XishuangBanna
Xishuangbanna
Xishuangbanna
Xishuangbanna
Xishuangbanna is China's Mini-Thailand, because like Thailand in all of Southeast Asia, Xishuangbanna is, among China's provinces, a much preferred tourist destination, though not so much by international tourists but rather for Chinese from provinces further north. In this district, the minority (and by Chinese definition the Dais populating the area are a minority) are actually the majority. Of the district's population of more 650,000, more than half belong to the Dais who are just as closely related to the Thais of Thailand as the name suggests. The Han Chinese make up only about a quarter of the population.
