The full name of Three Gorges project is Three Gorges multipurpose water control project. The whole project includes a concrete gravitational dam, a sluice gate, a latter dike hydroelectric power station, a perpetual navigation ship lock and a ship lift. The building of the project is made up of three parts the dam, the factory building and opening-navigation building .The top of the dam is 3035 meters long and 185 meters high. There're 26 machines, 14 on the left and 12 on the right. A small wheel generating set has a front row capacity of 700,000kws. The total installed capacity is 1,820 kW/h. Annual generated energy reaches 84.7 billion kW/H. The navigation building locates at the left bank,including a double -lined and five -package consecutive ship lock and a first -rate vertical ship -lift.

Shibaozhai is built on a huge crag on the northern bank of the YangtseRiver in ZhongxianCounty, The crag is called Seal Hill for its seal like appearance and said to be a stone left by the Goddess Nvwa when she mended the sky with stones.

The Hall of the Son of Heaven on the top of the mountains was built in Ming Dynasty. Pavilions were constructed in Qing Dynasty. Made of brick and wood, Shibaozhai is composed of three parts involving mountain pass, pavilions and halls. It is 12 story high with foundation laid on rock and main structure was flanked by cliffs on all sides. Being the highest position of Shipaozpai, the Hall of the Son of Heaven boasts of cultural relics, paintings and calligraphies of celebraties unearthed in ZhongxianCounty since New Stone Age. Nine stone engravings from the Qing Dynasty to the Republic of China were also left, In front of the stockade gate is a flight of stone stairs buildings of Shilbaozhai.

It is a marvel of exquisite design and delicate workmanship, named as Pearl of the River and Abode of Immortals in Eastern Sichuan. It is also one of eight most grotesque buildings of the world by architects.

Arrive in Beijing
Welcome to Beijing , capital of China . On arrival, you will be met by our guide and escorted to your hotel. You will get rest time of the day for refreshment from long distance fly.

DAY2

Morning tour to Tian'anmen Square, located in the heart of the capital, and the Forbidden City-one of the greatest featsof ancient Chinese architecture. Afternoon sightseeing includes Summer Palace- a former summer resort area of the royal family, or a visit to the Temple of Heaven where the emperors prayed for good harvests. Enjoy the famous Beijing roast duck dinner in the evening.

DAY3

Full day excursion to the Great Wall - the landmark of China. It is one of the most amazing feats of manmade construction on earth visible from outer space. after lunch, drive to the Ming Tombs along the Sacred way with giant marble figures and animals guarding the tomb area for deceased emperors of the Ming Dynasty. Peking Opera or acrobatic performance will be attended in the evening.

DAY4

in the morning, leave for Xian.After taking a 1.5 hour flight to Xi'an, the great ancient capital and the eastern end of the Silk Road.City tour begins with a visit to the Big wild Goose Pagoda which was built in 652 A.D. It contains a large volume of Buddhist scripture which were obtained from India by the eminent monk Xuanzang

A full day visit includes the unparalleled highlight of an excursion to the incredible Terra-Cotta Warriors and Horses at the Tomb of Qin Shi Huang, the first emperor of unified China. Added highlights are visits to the Huaqing Hot Spring - a former resort area especially for the emperor and royal family and a visit to the Banpo Village - the remains of a neolithic village dating back 6,000 years. Primitive tools and household utensils are displayed in the Banpo Museum.Tonight enjoy Tang Dynasty Dinner & Show.

DAY6
Xi'an / Chongqing       (B,L,D)
After breakfast, during morning tour, you will visit ancient city wall and provincial Museum After lunch,transfer to airport and leave for Chongqing in late afternoon,In evening you will embark the 5 star cruise ship Overnight on Board, lunch & dinner included. Ship departs Chongqing at 9pm.

DAY7
Cruise Three Gorges on the Yangtze      (B,L,D)
In the morning,Cruise & off-shore excursion to Shibaozhai, a nine story ancient tower constructed atop a sheer cliff. In this small town along the Yangzi river,there are many historical relics . For the rest of the day, you have the option of attending lectures or enjoying the picturesque scenery of Yangtze. The Captain's welcome party will be held in the dinning Hall at 7:00pm.

DAY8
Cruise Three Gorges on the Yangtze       (B,L,D)
Begin the passage with Qutang Gorge, the shortest and the grandest of the Three Gorges. Wu Gorge is next that we will pass.You will be impressed by its famous lofty and misty peaks. Disembark at Badong for an excursion to the Shennong Stream.Natural beauty and During exciting boat ride drifting along the crystal stream,you can enjoy local natural beauty and the spectacular view and suspending coffin on the cliff. The unique songs of the local Tujia people are also very impressive. The continue sailing into the western section of Xiling Gorge. Pass the five-step ship lock. Dock overnight at Sandouping, close to the Three Gorges Dam.
 

DAY9
Yangtze River Cruise Yichang / Shanghai        (B,L,D)
Cruise ship arrives Yichang near 13:00. Transfer to airport and fly to Shanghai. Upon your arrival, guide and driver will meet you. You will be transferred to hotel for rest.

DAY10

Full day city tour to the Bund, Yu Garden, Jade Buddha Temple and carpet factory. In the evening enjoy an Acrobatic Show.

DAY11

Sightseeing of today includes the Bund Shanghai's famous waterfront promenade --, old quarter of the city and outside view of the Oriental Pearl TV Tower. Free shopping at famous Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street. Transfer to the hotel after dinner.
