IS IT SAFE FOR FOREIGNERS TRAVELING IN CHINA?

China is a very safe country for foreigners to visit. Even minor crimes are punished severely, especially if related to foreigners. Vendors at some sightseeing locations may be persistent but are usually polite. Just ignore them if you don’t want to buy something. If you travel with a guide, just follow the guide and his direction. If you explore alone, be alert and use common sense.

HongKong
As an Oriental city governed by Occidentals, HongKong’s history has given it a distinctive mix of East and West. In 1997 the British returned HongKong to China under the ‘One Country, Two Systems’ framework in which HongKong is guaranteed a high level of autonomy for 50 years.

Most people in HongKong can speak basic English. HongKong is home to many consulates so it’s a good place to pick up visas.HongKong has the mildest temperatures and best weather in November and December.
