Potala Palace, a model of Tibetan architecture ,situated on the Hongshan Hill in Lhasa, means "the Sacred Palace of Buddhism" in Sanskrit. It was built in the 7th century by king Songtsan Gambo for his bride, the princess Wen Cheng of Han nationality, and was enlarged and renovated by the successive Da1ais. The 13 story palace, 117 metres high, 360 metres east-west, with an area of 130,000 square metres was constructed completey by stone and wood.  It includes temple, seminary, chanting hal1, domitory, mouming hall and yard. The eight mouming halls house the stupas of seveal Dalai Lamas,  which are covered with gold 1eaf and studded with jewels. Enormous precious histrical relics and frescos on various themes are kept in the building. Potala Pa1ace was the winter residence of Dalai Lamas. The imposing grand building was constructed on the slope of the hill, which demonstrates a combined style of T1betan and Han architecture.

The Jokhang Monastery was built in the seventh century by Songtsan Gambo, the Tang Princess Wen Cheng and Nepalese Princess Bhrikuti. Its located in the center of the ancient city of Lhasa and a four story main building demonstrates a combination of the Han, Tibetan, Indian and Nepalese architectural styles, as well as a man - made world outlook of Buddhism. With the Hall of Amitayus Sutra as its center, the monastery symbolizes the nuclear to the universe. The Hall of Sakyamuni is the essence of the monastery. Jokhang is the spiritual center of Tibet, the Holy of Holies, the destination of millions of Tibetan pilgrims. Unlike the lofty Potala, the Jokhang has intimate, human proportions, bustling with worshippers and redolent with mystery. The outer courtyard and porch of the temple are usually filled with pilgrims making full-length prostration towards the holy sanctum. Its innermost shrine contains the oldest, most precious object in Tibet - the original gold stature of Sakyamuni - the historical Buddha, which Princess Wen Cheng brought from Chang'an 1,300 years ago. Every year, the Great Prayer Festival will be held in the Temple. The rites of Dalai Lamas and Panchen Lamas' initiation into lamahood are also held in the monastery.

After breakfast,visit Norbulingka-the Summer Palace for Dalai-Lama & Drepung Monastery – the largest Buddhist Monastery in Tibet.

DAY5
Lhasa / Chengdu     (B,L,D)
After morning flight from Lhasa to Chengdu , our guide will wait for you at airport of ChengduCity ,Then you will start city tour to Wangjiang Tower inside Wangjianglou Park where it was once a residence of Tang Dynasty woman poet. Stay at a hotel after dinner.

DAY6
Chengdu      (B,L,D)
After breakfast,morning tour to visit Pandas Breeding and Research Center. You will have lunch in locol style restaurant.Then drive to Sanxindui-over 3,600- 4,000 years ancient bronze museum which is the most important discovery in China in 1990s . Last ,transffer to hotel .

DAY7
Chengdu / Shanghai     (B)
After breakfast, you will be transferred to airport and depart Chengdu for Shanghai. Met and escorted to a good hotel for over night by our guide and driver. Rest of the day is at leisure. You also can explore the city of Shanghai.

DAY8
Depart Shanghai
After breakfast, our guide and driver will transfer you to the airport for flight to home.
