- WHAT IS A PACKAGE TOUR?

Package tour means that the tour includes transportation, sleeping accommodations, meals, guides, entrance fees and all the programs need during a tour. It will be very convenient for you.

- WHAT TIME IS THE BEST FOR VISITING IN CHINA?

Generally, the best time to visit most of China is the early Summer and Fall. But if you want to visit the Ice Festival in the North, January is the best.


- HOW MUCH ADVANCED PLANNING WILL I NEED?

It will depend on what kind of tour you are booking. If you book a package tour which includes air tickets, train tickets Yangtze Cruise, or a Tibet tour , you should book the tour at least two weeks prior to your arrival. There are a few tours that you may need one month in advance. If you are booking a city tour, you can book it 1-5 days prior to your arrival.


- HOW TO MAKE A RESERVATION?

You can make a reservation by e-mail, fax or telephone. Once the tour is confirmed and the reservation is made, a deposit will be required.


- HOW TO PAY?

You pay us by bank wire transfer. An international transfer takes 3-5 working days. A Chinese domestic transfer is completed in one day. You may pay us by cash if you are in China. Credit card also can be accepted.


- DO I HAVE TO TIP IN CHINA, HOW MUCH TO TIP?

Tip is not common in China. However service fee should be added to the bill. In the occasion such as in restaurants, traveling with guide and so on.


- DOES ANYONE SPEAK ENGLISH?

Our guides and the hotel staffs are all well-trained and have passed the English language test, all of them can speak fluent English. Please don’t worry. You will not have communication problems. You will be comfortable.


- HOW TO GET TO CHINA?

There is air service from major cities over the world to China. It is easy to book air tickets on Air China, China Eastern Airlines, China Southern Airlines, Singapore Airlines and many others.


- WHAT SUGGESTIONS DO YOU HAVE FOR THE FIRST-TIMERS?

- WHICH MONTHS IN A YEAR ARE CONSIDERED AS PEAK SEASON, WHICH AS SHOULDER SEASON, AND WHICH AS LOW SEASON?

Generally and traditionally, the Peak Season refers to May, September and October; the Shoulder Season refers to March, April, June, July, August, and November; the Low Season refers to January, February, and December. In addition, different cities, airlines, hotels and cruise ships have exact concept of the Peak Season, the Shoulder Season and the Low Season respectively according to their own practices. Many cruise ships do not have Low Season because they do not sail in those months.


- HOW IS THE WEATHER IN CHINA?

Spring: April - June Summer: June - September Fall: Sep – October Winter: October - March All major tourist cities in China, Beijing, Xi'an, Shanghai and Chonqqing generally share similar weather. In spring, a sweater would be more than adequate. Summer is typically hot, but most sightseeing areas are air conditioned unless in the open. Fall is usually considered the best weather. Winter is long and cold, but usually not as cold as you may think.


- DO WE EAT CHINESE FOOD THROUGHOUT THE TRIP?

All breakfasts are western style buffet with juice, milk, eggs, sausage, cereals, and Chinese dim sum plates. There is more variety than most hotels in the US. Lunch and dinner are Chinese food in family style. The round dining tables usually accommodate 8 - 10 people.


- IS IT SAFE FOR FOREIGNERS TRAVELING IN CHINA?

China is a very safe country for foreigners to visit. Even minor crimes are punished severely, especially if related to foreigners. Vendors at some sightseeing locations may be persistent but are usually polite. Just ignore them if you don’t want to buy something. If you travel with a guide, just follow the guide and his direction. If you explore alone, be alert and use common sense.


- WHAT ABOUT THE CHINESE TOUR GUIDES?

China has tens of thousands of trained and licensed tour guides. Some of them are professors, librarians, and teachers, working part time. They must pass an exam to receive a license. China’s travel companies are categorized into three classes. Class 1 can work directly with foreign tour operators. Tour guides working for this class are usually more experienced. English is the most common language spoken by tour guides. They work according to pre-arranged schedules. They have detailed knowledge about the sites. There are also many guides who can speak Spanish, German, Russian and Japanese and so on.


- WHAT HOTEL STANDARDR CAN I EXPECT ON A CHINA TOUR?

The hotels selected for group tours are based on 4 star hotels. Of course, tourists from different countries have different standards, but China is generally the same to the international standards. Most of the hotels are centrally located in the city or near the tourist area.


- WHAT ARE THE LUGGAGE SIZE AND QUANTITY LIMITED?

According to regulation, the free luggage for the international service should not have dimensions exceeding 76 x 46 x 26 cm (or 30 x 18 x 10 inches) and weight exceeding 20 kg. A penalty from airlines might be applied for check-in bag weight exceeding 20kg.


- DO I NEED A VISA FOR A VISIT TO HONG KONG?

Residents of most countries can enter Hong Kong without applying for a visa in advance and are allowed to stay for 90 days.

- MAY I TAKE CHINESE CURRENCY TO CHINA FOR MY CONVENIENCE?

You can take RMB to China, but you are limited in the value you can bring in accordance with the regulations of the General Administration of China Customs published on Jul 1st, 2005. According to the regulations, passengers who carry over RMB 20, 000 in cash or foreign currencies in cash with a value exceeding US$ 5,000 must report it to the Customs. the passengers must complete Customs Declaration Forms in duplicate, one copy of which shall, after being endorsed by the Customs, be returned to the passengers for relevant procedures at the time of their exit.

It is quite easy to exchange your currency into RMB at your arrival airport, as well as hotels and banks in China, so it is not really necessary to bring Chinese currency to China.

- WHAT SHOULD SEE IN CHINA?

In China, almost every city has one or more attractions that are important to see and if you don't plan your itinerary ahead, you might just wander through some cities without seeing the most important attractions making your trip to China incomplete. Beijing is usually the first city to visit. Because of its significance in the historical development of China, it has a number of attractions which are not to be missed during your short visit here. They include The Great Wall, the Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven, Tiananmen Square, The Summer Palace, The Ming Tombs and the traditional Hutong. All of these attractions can be visited in three days. Xian would definitely be your next stop after Beijing. Spending two days in Xian allows you to discover China’s past since it is believed by many to be the birthplace of ancient civilization. The two major attractions to see in Xian are the Terracotta Army Warriors and the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. These Xian attractions played significant roles during the Chinese revolution. From Xian, you can fly to Guilin and Yangshuo where you can spend 2 days cruising the Li River and exploring the Reed Flute caves and the Elephant Trunk hills. The few days you spend in Guilin renews your spirit with its breathtaking beauty. After the rejuvenating experience from the land of Guilin, you can spend the next five to six days in the beautiful province of Yunnan. Kunming, the spring city of Yunnan is known to be the most peaceful and laid back environment very much inclined to foreign tourists. With a wonderful landscape, more sightseeings and a favorable climate, it is no wonder why tourists flock to this part of China to spend more days there. The major highlights of Yunnan province include the Shilin Stone Forest, Tiger Leaping Gorge, Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, and Erhai Lake. And finally, the last two days can be spent shopping and wandering around the cosmopolitan streets of Shanghai. Shanghai is one of the oldest cities in China which has developed into a fast bustling metropolis. Yuyuan garden, The Jade Buddha temple, Shanghai Bund and the French Concession are major places of interest in Shanghai. There are also a number of shopping malls and markets to buy assorted bags and shoes at reasonable prices. Five cities and twenty attractions in twelve days could just be the best way to enjoy your China travel adventure. If you have more time, Tibet ,silk road & Tibet are also very charming.
