If you’re planning to go to China you should keep as much time in hand as possible. You need a minimum of fifteen days to one month to properly tour all the attractions in China.

Whether you take a package tour or not, be sure to do your own research—otherwise you’ll mostly be lost. Very few people in China speak English and you must carry maps and travel guides if you don’t want to be wasting time. The places you must visit if you want to travel to china are Beijing, Xian, Shanghai, Guilin, Yangtze River, Llhasa Tibet, Jiuzhaigou Sichuan, Lijiang Yunnan, Zhangjiajie Hunan, and the Silk Road in China. And, here are a few tips you might find handy when you’re in the country.

  • When you’re in cities like Shanghai and Beijing, Taxis are a good way to commute because they are damn cheap. But keep away from the streets during rush hour traffic. When you’re travelling from one place to another trains are good way if you want to keep it cheap, but if you have less time domestic flights, of course.
  • Tips are usually considered to be rude, so avoid paying tips.
