Guiyang

Hidden amongst jagged karst mountain, misty waterfalls and undulating hills, Guiyang is a gem hidden under layers of gorgeous scenery, and with each step, a new vista emerges. Guiyang is capital of Guizhou Pronvince, Guizhou is in China's southwest on the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau over 1,000m above sea level. Guizhou is superb for its colorful and distinctive ethnic customs and cultures. It is habited with 13 ethnic nationalities including Miao, Dong, Buyi, Yi, Shui, Gelao, etc., all with their own long-established and brilliant cultures.

Guiyang city sits amongst the clouds, it's protected from harsh weather by surrounding mountains. A local saying goes, "It does not go more than three days without raining and you won't find more than a square meter of flat land."
